Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has promised he will “not” destroy Australia’s economy and says the Labor government has put Australia “on that path”.

“I’m not going to destroy the economy and send families bankrupt in the process of decarbonising our economy, whereas the Labor Party has the Australian people on that path,” Mr Dutton said at a media conference on Tuesday.

“They’re killing manufacturing.

“Anthony Albanese, in his train wreck press conference yesterday, just couldn’t even utter the words electricity cost or electricity bills or cost of living prices that Labor has created.”
